History The name Advik was created by combining the words Anime (Japaneseanimated movies), Dance (dancing on Japanese dance pad DDR) and Weekend(because it was originally held during a weekend). The first steps to Advik were made in year 2006 at the Festival offantasy in Chotěboř, where Michal Bezvoda and Petr Žalud agreed to holda new event in the middle of summer. At the beginning they had some help from a non-profit organization MensaČR which guided them and provided necessary resources. Advik aims to create a friendly atmosphere for all anime, game and Japanfans. At 2011 the leader of non-profit organization AnimeCrew Robert Žittňanbecame the main coordinator of Advik. AnimeCrew holds the biggest animeand manga festival in Central and East Europe and Advik has joined thefamily of Comics salon and AnimeSHOW events.
